Once Upon a Tribal Tattoo!

Does everyone have a Tribal Tattoo nowadays? Every person I meet seems to have black lines up and down their arms. Different designs to draw attention to themselves. What once was a biker or sailor only tradition sure seems to have moved into the mainstream. But why, what has changed now from then?
The great thing is nothing. Tribal tattoos date back to the Aztecs and Polynesians. The word tattoo comes from Samoan's language. They can be found all over the world, even some Egyptian mummies were found to have tattoos on their skin. It was not just men, but African priestess were found with tattoo marks on their arms and legs.
In ancient cultures for thousands of years Tribal body art has taken place. Ancient tribal worries would make their bodies with paint. Over time paint was replace by more permanent tattoos. These marks would show the level of commitment from the warrior to the tribe.
Priests and Priestess would help guide warriors into battle, each with their own set of markings or tribal designs. Common tribesmen would not have any tattoos unless they worked their way up to a warrior class. Today there is no line between common and warrior class. We can choose what we want without limitations.
Cultural phenomenon that turned these designs into art can now show bot
h men and women as modern day tribes people. The bold deep marks of a tribal tattoo help show the spirit of the person that they are on. Deep in our DNA, from the past of long forgotten tribesmen we have learned to harness the tribal tattoo to show modern culture how we feel.
While no longer the hunger gathers we once were, tribal tattoos show a way to proudly display the inner warrior inside of us. Men and women can express this spirit through a vast array of different types of tribal tattoos.
Over the years women have liberated themselves from what culture said they should be, to what they want to be. A tribal tat can be just as bold on a woman as it can be on a man. The more delicate the design or the more intense, it does not matter as women have a opportunity to join in with their ancestors as well.
